The Short Version
The Bold Little Oracle app does not collect, store, or transmit any of your personal data. Everything stays on your device. If you buy the lifetime unlock, Apple processes the payment — we never see your name, email, or payment details. If you join our email list on this website, that's a separate, optional thing you choose, and you can leave any time.
Data Collection in the App
We do not collect any data from the app. Specifically:
- No personal information is collected
- No usage analytics are collected
- No crash reports are sent
- No cookies or tracking technologies are used
Local Storage
All app data — your card draw history, tone preference, and unlock status — is stored locally on your device. This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us or any third party.
In-App Purchase
The optional lifetime unlock is a one-time in-app purchase processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. Apple's handling of your payment information is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. We receive no personal information about purchasers. Purchase entitlement is stored on your device and with your Apple account (which is how Restore Purchases works) — never on our servers, because we don't have any.
Email Newsletter (Website Only)
If you sign up for our email list on this website, your email address is stored with our newsletter provider, Beehiiv, and used solely to send you the emails you signed up for. Every email includes an unsubscribe link; unsubscribing removes you from the list. The app itself has no connection to the newsletter.
No Accounts
Bold Little Oracle does not require you to create an account. There is no sign-up, no login, and no user profiles.
Children's Privacy
Because the app does not collect any data whatsoever, it is safe for users of all ages.
Changes to This Policy
If we ever change our privacy practices, we will update this page and the effective date above. Given that our current practice is to collect nothing, any change would likely involve beginning to collect something — and we would make that very clear.
